Say “Hi!” to jewelry artist Anita Heras. She started Ear-Resistibles! by Anita well over a decade ago mainly making earrings, but it wasn’t until her daughter moved 1,000 miles away to attend college that Heras started taking jewelry classes.  At Riverbend Arts Center, she took several classes each in wire-wrapping, glass fusing, lampwork bead-making and stained glass. This is when her unique jewelry style really took off. She received many awards at Riverbend for the student shows as well as coming in second place in a national glass fusing contest.

Ear-Resistibles! by Anita has been carried in many local shops, including the Dayton Art Institute gift shop and in stores as far away as Clearwater Beach, Florida.  “I love being at the Tippecanoe Farmers’ Market”, says Heras.  She finds it always interesting to meet and talk to new people that live in close proximity to her. With new creations being made every week, no pieces are exactly alike and are very affordable.  For more information, please see www.etsy.com/shop/AnitaHeras.
