47Ahhh, the crisp mornings of fall are upon us. For some, the Labor Day holiday marks a sad time of the end of summer – for others – it marks the joyous days of cooler weather and the colors and smells of fall. Smells you ask? You know, hot apple pie, fires in the fire pit, roasting marshmallows. Head on down to the Market this Saturday to get everything you need to start YOUR holiday weekend off right!

Special thanks to The Third Street Salon – who graciously allows us to close off the street in front of her hair salon business on Saturday mornings. If you’re in the market for a new stylist – pop in and meet the experts at the Salon!  And, as always, an extra special thanks to the generosity of Marlowe Law Office and The Mark Bamberger Co., LLC on 3rd Street with FREE coffee, juice and pastries for our Market patrons. P.S. The Farmers’ Market needs more volunteers! If you are interested in helping out during the Market, please contact Rebecca at rwoodward@gardensalive.com

We need your help!

ONLY THREE WEEKS LEFT!!!

We only have three more weeks left in the inaugural season for the Tippecanoe Farmers’ Market, so come out out and help us wrap up the season in style! With the Market wrapping up on September 15th, don’t miss your chance to buy real, locally-produced items.

In case you’ve missed the last few weeks or haven’t had a chance to make it out to the Market, it’s located in historic Downtown Tipp City at the corner of Main and Dow Streets, adjacent to convenient parking in the Methodist Church parking lot. We have fourteen local vendors at the Market each week, selling a variety of fruits, vegetables, baked goods including pies, cakes, breads, cookies, sweet rolls and foccacia, along with plants, flowers, soaps, candles and other items. We’re also in the planning stages for next year — if you’re interested in helping it out, let us know by stopping by the Market Booth. And see you at the Market!tipp-market-squash-and-cuc.jpg

Farmer’s Market to Open June 16th

[digg=http://digg.com/offbeat_news/Tippecanoe_Farmers_Market_to_Open_June_16] The Tippecanoe Farmers’ Market has set the dates for the upcoming Market season. The Market, to be held in beautiful downtown Tipp City, will open on June 16 and will run for 14 consecutive Saturday mornings, ending the 2007 season on September 15. The Market will be open from 9 AM to 12 PM each Saturday. To make the Market truly accessible to the citizens of Tipp City, and our visitors, the Market will be held on Third Street (between Main and Dow). Third Street between Main and Dow Streets will be closed to all traffic during this time to allow the Market patrons a safe environment in which to shop. Parking will be available along Main Street, in the Methodist Church lot, and along Dow Street. Later in the season, we will post a full list of vendors and their products.
