Hey, we need folks to help out with the Market! If you can, please send an email to our VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR Sonya Lyons at slyons97@yahoo.com and she’ll get you signed up for our Volunteer Schedule. We’re getting the Market set up each week, and here’s what we do!
Opening – 8am to 10:30 am
- Arrive by 8am and put up yellow barricades at the ends of the Market to stop traffic
- Set up Market Booth and set out trash cans (not by Third Street Salon!)
- Ensure Third Street Salon signs are up on the four parking spaces at the church – if not, the signs are on Greg’s porch at 6 West Dow Street (house with white columns at southern end of Market)
- Make sure all vendor vehicles are out of the Market area by 8:45 except for exempted vendors who paid Vehicle Fee
- During Market Hours, volunteers will work at the Market booth, assisting visitors and vendors with any needs and answering questions, collecting contact information from interested parties
Closing – 10:30 am to 1 pm
- During Market Hours, volunteers will work at the Market booth, assisting visitors and vendors with any needs and answering questions, collecting contact information from interested parties
- At noon, take down Market Booth
- Collect and store the 4 (four) Third Street Salon parking signs
- Ensure Vendor space and street are free of litter
- Empty and put away trash barrel and when the last vendor has left, remove and store yellow barricades. Don’t take down the barricades until everyone is gone-folks will drive right through your Market!
Again, thank you for your interest in the Tippecanoe Farmers’ Market. It’s success depends on volunteers like you. Volunteers may park in the Tipp City United Methodist Church parking lot, adjacent to the Market, west of Third Street. Below is our Volunteer Schedule. PLEASE SIGN UP by contacting Sonya at slyons97@yahoo.com.
